Submissions may be done in person at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fortress.wa.gov\/dol\/dolprod\/vehoffices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">any vehicle licensing office<\/a> (except Schmidt Insurance Service in Odessa) or by mail to<\/p>\n<address>Individuals with Disabilities<\/address>\n<address>Department of Licensing<\/address>\n<address>PO Box 9043<\/address>\n<address>Olympia WA 98507-9043<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<div id=\"fee\">\n<h5>Fee<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>Placards are free.<\/p>\n<div id=\"valid\">\n<h5>Validity\/expiration of placards\/permits<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>Permanent placards are valid for 5 years. Temporary placards are issued for up to 12 months.<\/p>\n<div id=\"renewals\">\n<h5>Renewing placards<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>If a permanent placard is current or expired for less than 31 days, placard holders must sign the reminder sent to them or write and sign a letter stating the need for disabled parking privileges. Recertification of disability is not required.<\/p>\n<p>If a permanent placard has been expired for 31 days or more, placard holders must follow the same procedure for the initial issuance of the placard.<\/p>\n<p>In both cases, the application can be submitted in person at <a href=\"https:\/\/fortress.wa.gov\/dol\/dolprod\/vehoffices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">any vehicle licensing office<\/a>\u00a0(except Schmidt Insurance Service in Odessa) or by mail to the address listed above.<\/p>\n<p>Temporary placards are non-renewable.
