The application must be completed by a licensed physician or nurse practitioner certifying the disability.<\/p>\n<div id=\"fee\">\n<h5>Fee<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>There is no fee for placards.<\/p>\n<div id=\"valid\">\n<h5>Validity\/expiration of placards\/permits<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>Permanent placards are issued for 5 years, while temporary placards are valid for a period of 6 months.<\/p>\n<div id=\"renewals\">\n<h5>Renewing placards<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>Permanent placards\u00a0can be renewed upon expiration.\u00a0Temporary placards may also be renewed, but applicants must resubmit a <a href=\"https:\/\/images.myparkingpermit.com\/doc\/Mississippi Mississippi Disabled Parking Application.pdf\">Mississippi Disabled Parking Application<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"lost\">\n<h5>Lost placard\/replacement<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>Applicants must submit an affidavit stating that their placard has been lost or stolen. The affidavit form is available at the local tax collector office.<\/p>\n<div id=\"hang\">\n<h5>Where to hang the placard\/permit<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>The placard must be hung from the rearview mirror of the vehicle when parked in a disabled space.
